Phi Phi Natural Resort Hotel has lost lots of its pre-tsunami charmes and surely is no more a luxurious romantic getaway. But the private beach is still a plus!

Phi Phi Natural Resort is one of the few hotels in the north of Phi Phi Don Island whereas most other hotels are to the south.

The private bungalows in the garden are rapidly rebuilt after the tsunami but don’t look as luxurious as before:

water from peoples’ showers runs out into the garden making the garden a bit mud

rooms don’t yet have all amenities installed, so inquire before you book a room what’s available. Especially inquire whether there is a TV in the room (if you do need one) or more importantly whether you can take a shower that doesn’t use sea water…

What’s still charming about this resort is its own private stunning beach, which is a plus for romantic and relaxing souls. Enjoy the view of this beach and the neighbouring islands (see Ko Phi Phi Natural Resort and Thailand maps above) whilst sipping a freshly squeezed tropical drink in the bar of Phi Phi Natural Resort.

Summarized: always inform yourself about the latest changes made before you book a hotelroom.

When reading Phi Phi Natural Resort reviews, make sure they are from after the tsunami (December 26, 2004) and as recent as possible.

Being struck by the tsunami, Thailand and Phi Phi Natural Resort is trying to get back to it’s previous state.
